AlbaReggae is a reggae duo from the Albanian diaspora.
They are among the first to sing reggae and roots-reggae consistently in the Albanian language.
Two voices carry the music. They draw from the spirit of roots-reggae without copying it. The songs grow out of their own language, history, and lived experience. Reggae is not used as a style, but as a way of expression and attitude.
In their lyrics, AlbaReggae seeks to capture the heavy times Albanians have lived through — stories of loss, silence, endurance, and identity. Their music remains closely connected to Albania and the Albanian experience, and this direction is intended to stay the same in future releases.
The female voice follows no fixed image and no scene aesthetic. It tells, remembers, and reflects. Together, the duo creates a sound that stays calm even while carrying difficult themes.
